![]() Yeah they were heros BUT there were others in this cast also. If you read the books, you will be muttering to yourself "that's not right, not here." Gandalf seems much less effective in this film, no offense to Sir McKellan, not his fault the writing failed. For the sake of movie time, I guess, they compressed the dialogues with the kings and Gandalf/Aragorn to the point of irritation. Spoon feed the audience about the two hobbits' strife.ĭumbing down the Rohan/Gondor kings. of all the things to count on in the book it was their friendship. but the BIG gripe was seeing Gollum successfully turn Frodo against Sam early on. Okay what's the point? they should of resolved the Shelob issue in the second film and had much more thrilling battles in film 3. The Shelob action was in book 2, if you look at the ratio of book pages covering Sam/Frodo and the rest of the Fellowship in Book 3, it's like 1 to 10 respectively. ![]() Way too much Sam and Frodo at the cost of everyone else in the book. Okay no joke the graphics are kick ass, they religiously follow the book in copying the architecture, scenary, royal crests, Nazgul are cool, etc. Okay here's a place where you're actually asking for spoilers.
